SMGC has been in the Wildlife Habitat Restoration and FarmManagement business for over 15 years. Founded in 1993 by Kevin Colbeck  to enhance wildlife through habitat restoration and management. Since 1993 SMGC has gone on to complete hundreds of successful projects and plant thousands of acres of habitat in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.  In 2004 Kevin was honored with Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources Conservationist of the Year award.

SMGC specializes in Warm or Cool season grass buffers plantings for C.R.E.P, C.R.P,  W.H.I.P & E.Q.U.I.P. We offer a variety of services from a complete turnkey operation including; site preparation, coordinating herbicide application, seed procurement, planting (no-till or conventional), and post emergent management, to any of these components singularly or in aggregate.
